Medical Colleges Abroad: Lithuanian University of Health Sciences

The Lithuanian University of Health Sciences is one instititution you can get to study medicine abroad in English.

LSMU (Lietuvos sveikatos mokslų universitetas) is a medical college abroad and is considered to be the largest institution of higher education for biomedical sciences in Lithuania, successfully integrating studies, research, and clinical practice.

About the University

LSMU consists of two main academies: Medical Academy and Veterinary Academy.

The University is an active participant in the ERASMUS exchange program. Students may study at foreign universities or go abroad for practice for a period of up to one year (Over 170 partner universities in more than 40 countries).

The study programmes at LSMU meet university education standards applied in EU countries and graduates are eligible to take the United
States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and the PLAB examination of the General Medical Council in the UK.

The duration of the physiotherapy course is 4 years with a very strong focus on clinical practice; you get to complete about 1296 hours of hands-on experience as a part of your studies in a number of Lithuanian hospitals.

Students are taught by top-level lecturers with extensive clinical experience and well-known guest lecturers from foreign universities.
